a) Club license renewed for 10 years, KF5PFO, Brian (NB5R) is club trustee.
b) Moved meetings and testing to OPD from EOC due to access issues with the gate and key limitations. Club to ratify.
c) ARRL membership is > 50% - thank you all. Donovan is membership coordinating.
d) Still in round 2 for a small grant to the general fund, $3K ask.
e) LANL Foundation Grant submitted, $5K earmarked for STEM at Taos High.
f) Notified the $16K McCune grant – trailer was not successful.
6) New Business a) ARRL test was Saturday, 2/26/2022, 10am EOC, 4 licenses earned. KI5TLA & KI5SNX General and Keith KI5TZD, Ed KI5TZE Techs and new club members. i. Since restart of testing 11/2019, 28 licenses gained. Future tests are 6/4 and 11/12 at the OPD. b) Website updates made on testing, nets, OPD repeater configuration. Note, when Picuris was down, we have OPD (website) and always Simplex 147.520, 146.520, 446.000 c) Techfest was Saturday, March 5, any observations? DMR Network in motion to El Paso. d) ARISS – International Space Station planning 2024 & ground station? Sheri (KI5TLA) e) OPD Shack facilities update – Donovan (KI5SNX) and Mike (NM5MK) – Any buy needs? i. Test of OPD Generator?
7) Old Business a) USDA Forest Service $1,400 fee feedback extended to 3/31/2022 https://www.govinfo.gov/app/details/FR-2021-12-22/2021-27681 b) Post Meeting Tech session ideas: HF Winlink, Megalink, Echolink, DMR Coding (weeks, Bridgecom)? More ideas and volunteers. c) Pending - Insurance on equipment for OPD. Tim (W5TNM) $280 approved for >$20K coverage. Required are description, make, model numbers and value.
