PSA: Great news! Our HamVenturesInc 502.c3’s ham radio repeater is again operational!
On Eagle Tail Mountain (elev. 7761’ + tower height), just off of I25 at Maxwell, NM (about 25 miles from Philmont Scout Ranch). It’s reachable from even Eagle Nest, NM (8258’) and is about 50-60 miles from the repeater. Our goal has been connecting it with Allstar & Echolink nodes so any ham, grandpaw or father can “connect” to their Boy Scout from anywhere over the world...
A super thank you to Code3, our Taos radio company for the install, coax, manpower, the repeater donor (Mega Link), MARS ( Carrollton Metrocrest Amateur Radio Association Club) duplex donor, K5CQH (Bob) for the antennas. It’s on this frequency 145.210 - Pl110.9 and coordinated by NM.
